伊勢町の富沢さん提供『日露戦争凱旋の歌』は中之条町教育委員会発刊「ふるさとの行方」に掲載されています。この歌詞は真下飛泉作詞『凱旋』の替え歌であるとわかりました。この替え歌は名もなき市井の人によるものと考えられ、元々の愛国主義的軍歌とは全く異なるメッセージを発しています。
この歌を吾妻中央高等学校合唱部の方々に歌っていただきました。三十年近く資料棚にしまわれていたこの歌詞が、現代の中之条でいま再び歌われることで、人々の記憶が更新され、反戦の思いが受け継がれていくことを願っています。
The Lyrics of A Song for the Triumphant Return from the Russo-Japanese War was found in the oral history reports published by the Board of Education in Nakanojo. Contrary to the title, the lyrics turned out to be far from militarism and nationalism. In fact, the artist found that it was an altered version from its original martial song. Although the song appears to be a kind of nationalistic martial songs, its later part tells the sorrow of a lover’s loss even in the militaristic atmosphere which forced people to die for the nationalism.
The song can be passed down as an anti-war song made by everyday people in the town.
